We thinks it because the stadium have been called "bowls", so we don't have the Rose Stadium, we have the Rose Bowl. Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, etc, etc, etc.

We think it's because the humans eat huge "bowls" of chips during the game. Maybe...
